How much does Makerly cost?
Makerly is $9.99/month with a 14-day free trial. Every feature is unlocked during your trial. You're never charged during the 14 days — billing only starts if you choose to subscribe after the trial ends.
Will I be charged automatically after the trial?
No. We don't auto-enroll you into a paid plan. When your 14-day trial ends, the app will ask if you'd like to subscribe — nothing happens to your card unless you say yes.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Write us within 30 days of any charge and we'll refund you, no questions. We'd rather you love the app than feel stuck with it.
Do you have a yearly or lifetime option?
Not right now — we're keeping it simple with a single monthly plan. We'll revisit once we have a better sense of what people want.
Does it work offline?
No — Makerly needs an internet connection. We use the cloud to sync your projects and stash across devices, power the Shop Directory and community, run Color from Image, and answer Helper Hub questions.
What calculators are included?
Seven: yardage, backing, batting, binding, borders, on-point, and a full cut list. Enter your quilt size once and you're done.
How does the Helper Hub work?
Ask a quilting or embroidery question and the Helper returns an answer drawn from expert-curated sources we've vetted for accuracy. It's built to give reliable guidance — not to replace your own instincts. Answers aren't stored, so each question starts fresh.
How do you verify the shops in the directory?
We review every listing before it appears — confirming the business exists and contact details are accurate. You can also submit a shop request for one we've missed.
Is my data private?
Yes. We never sell or share your data. Your stash, projects, and palettes are yours. Read the full policy on our Privacy page.
Does it sync across devices?
Yes, your projects, stash, and bookmarks sync automatically as long as you're signed in.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete. Everything is permanently removed within 30 days — no re-activation window, no dark patterns.
